sensory motor coordination.

coordination of sensory and motor systems to perform a particular task. coordination implies that the motor system is influenced by the sensory stimulation. merely turning on the spot or hitting an obstacle is not a sensory-motor coordination. sensory motor coordination leads to structured inputs that can be exploited for learning (1).
